Who to call upon sister
Who
to call upon when
The
world treats me like an
Outcast
lost in prison of
Black
veils
Who
to call upon head wrapped tight
In
turbines my dignity
Oppressed
by servitude to ungratefulness
Who
to call upon
When
nine months of my glory
I’m
made to feel cheep
Convinced
of my ugliness
Who
to call upon when
My
humbleness reflects their
Stupidity
giving them reason and cause to oppress
And
drain my spirit
Who
to call upon
When
powers I posses are foreign to my strength
Who
to call upon
Mother?
