Cruel WOrld

Cruel WOrld

This is for the women who died a cruel death
For women stoned alive
This is for the women who where inflicted with pain as humanity stood aside and watched
No one will know your pain of the first stone thrown
Meeting your flesh and bone sending shivers of pain you missed a heart beat but didn't die at the first stone over and over they picked up different sizes and threw them
And you received each blow with quivering lips praying to Gods and Godesses
They threw stones and rocks at you
As though you had no name or
No record of living eating breathing amongst the living
This is for the women who the worlds injustice was inflicted on you
For the days of old till the now
This is for the women who where made victims and found guilty
For being a woman and stoned as common thief, thieves who they themselves will never know your pain
I salute your bravery
Standing before murderess
Waiting for the first stone

Forgetting sages saying who that hath no sin throw the first stone
For excepting death like a lost lover fire rekindled
I salute your spirits
today I met you and wish your names where in our mouths so as to remember your bravery
And repeat your name to our Dawtas
To remind them that at times the world will make choices for you
And your life becomes a price
Won by stones.
Leading to heavy hearts.....

A MOTHER'S FURY...NO MORE MY SUN

Sons of the Earth
The cruelty of this land will make you sick
Will drive you to the point of madness and back
So black son
Black man
Stand firm be strong to rise and take your rightful place
No more shall our suns be gunned down like game
No more shall our sons be imprisoned
Dehumanized
Humiliated and groomed to a wild beast
No more shall our sons carry the burdens of yesterday
To be found guilty today and have not committed a crime...yet...or never still
No more shall we as black mothers raise second class citizens
Of men who know not where there are from or going
For we are reminded if you know not who you are or whence you came you are twice defeated
No more shall we as black fathers allow our sons to be disgraced
Let not our suns see the hole of a gun barrel
Let not our sounds hear the slamming of prison bars deafening the ear drum
Let not our sons feel the pain of batons and and kicks of steel boots
Let not our sons be lead into temptation for Jails and prisons are designed to break human beings, to convert the population into specimens in a zoo - obedient to our keepers, but dangerous to each other.
But to be men of Integrity
Men of truth
Men of love
To be men who who shake the core of existence like lion protecting the pride
To be men who teach and show their sons and sons sons that
it is God they see in the mirror
and I their mother will just like a lioness kill a lion for my cub
I will slash my wrists if my speech speaks not the truth and protect my child my children
that'show serious this is let us speak the truth to our sons and
save their souls from the burden of our ancestors
this is for my son!
